We have been organizing LIGHTWEIGHT SYMPOSIA since 2004 with great success. On 11/09/2020 we will once again organise a LIGHTWEIGHT SYMPOSIUM under the title "Viticulture inspires bionic ultra-lightweight construction - what we can learn from nature". At the Dominican Winery in Kasel near Trier, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Wellnitz, AIRBUS manager Peter Pirklbauer and REED event director Olaf Freier, some of the most renowned lightweight experts in the German-speaking world, will have their key note speaches and discuss the latest lightweight trends.

Lightweight construction is a "game-changer technology" and is considered to be one of the key technologies of the 21st century. And so in recent weeks and months AMC has been intensively engaged with top lightweight technologies and compiled a study: "COMPOSITES IN 3D - HOW RELIABLE IN THE FUTURE?" will be presented to the public for the first time at the LIGHTWEIGHT SYMPOSIUM. "The study is about the six highest-end technologies," says AMC-boss Rainer Kurek, "and which industries and components they are interesting for". Dr. Claus Bayreuther, study project manager at AMC, outlines some of the results of the study: "Closed digital process chains are becoming increasingly important in order to avoid cost-intensive tests." Dr. Bayreuther promises that the market study is "very clear" about potentials, strengths and weaknesses - he will explain more about the results at the symposium.

Due to Corona, only a few guests are present on site - but there is the chance to attend online: to registration Word-document oder PDF
